Piece of Mind

Verse 1:

I’ve made mistakes and I won’t try to deny it
If I tried then I’d be lying, and if I lied, my denying
Wouldn’t help, out, the current situation that I’m facing
Pacing back and forth, while I wait patiently
Chiselling away at life, like a man of masonry
Race against time, with competition chasing me
Take every failed attempt, as another opportunity
To vent my resentment….vent my contempt and resentment
And turn it into something innovative
sort of new but native to your ears
and just try and be creative
Instead of taking, I’ma make a contribution
And remember that behind every problem’s a solution
Only through experience can knowledge be acquired
Teachings are a way to get inspired
But still only open a door, you’ve got to take it from there
Take in the challenge like a breath of fresh air

I’m splitting hairs, till I get to the root
Seeing it through to the end, and leave no room for dispute
Keep an acute sense of where I stand, open my chute
Make sure I land on my mark, with the soul’s of my boot
Firmly planted with bent knees
Pull it off like I’ve been doing this for centuries
Risk it all for a few subtle memories
Been searching all this time
only to find it was always in front of me….
